  1. Calcutt is fine, You're in! Again drop us a message/email/call. We'll make some arragments
  2. We are looking for more than one cover to treat so the offer is is still very open to all.
  3. Brilliant. If you want to message me a contact number or call us we can make arrangements
  4. Hello All. I'm looking for a volunteer or more. We need someone quite close to us or in an area we get to offten that has a cratch/stern cover that is 'a bit green' . We are offering a free treatment of what will soon (we hope) be our new Mold/midew/algae remover. We would like to treat the cover (on site, or you can bring it to us) then take photos every few days so we can see the deterioration of the gunge. If you are in a marina that we visit often that would also be fine but would ask the volunteer to take the photos and send them to us. Before the inevitable starts I can confirm that this post has been cleared with the admin of the highest order and is not an advertising post. We really are looking for affected covers and willing participants so we can study the break down of the green over time. Feel free to drop us an email, message on the forum or call. I won't post any contact details but we are easy enough to find if you want to take part. Thanks in advance for your time.
  5. Hi We are still trading and have never been into liquidation... We are KINVER CANOPIES.... Nothing to do with Wilsons. Used to work there 5 years ago but have zero connection to them in any other way. Thanks
  6. Me too. I wouldn't want to fish for that information as it is a little invasive. Just if we knew where it was we could ask people in that area to drop him/her a message to call us. Didn't think I'd pull out so many trolls from under bridges whilst asking for someone to call us. I won't do it again. All I really wanted was a " Yes, Its Burt .. he is moored next to me, I'll ask him in the pub later" Sorry if I've upset anyone, you may now continue to watch your goats from the safety of your bridges Happy Friday.. Now we can all get back to discussing Brexit and the downfall of the UK or rise of a super nation ( Whole new can of Worms!)
  7. Its a narrow beam. Just want someone to ask him to call us if spotted. The boat now may even belong to another owner. It doesn't matter if he owes us money or not as its no ones business except his. For that reason alone I've not mentioned anyone's name. So no mud is thrown. I just want to make sure we have up to date details and that the job is totally complete and resolved. Even if he did owe any money, I ask , what's scummy about asking if anyone has seen the boat. Wouldn't it be the same as posting on facebook that you'd had you car stolen and for people to keep an eye out for it?.
  8. Hi, Just wondering if I could use the vast power and reach of CDF. We did some work for a customer in February this year. He was based around the Saul/ Gloucester area. We are trying to contact him but think he may have a new number as we just get an answer phone. The boat is Called Moonlight Dancer. We last saw it around Splatt bridge location. If anyone knows of its location or could ask the gentleman aboard to call us the would be fantastic. Hope we can finish our business with him and update our contact details.
  9. If you're there, find us at Crick.. We should have some more Green duck blonde real ale to give away to our old and new customers alike.
  10. Hi, All Just to let you know... ALL IS FINE HERE We have also spoken to one of the Guys who works/worked for Wilsons and he has confirmed that they are folding and has been told this time they may well be out of the business for good. ( but wait and see) Having a quick read through the posts and you are quite right. We have lapsed in getting back to people due to the work load we have on.. At the current moment in time we are training 'Sue' in all aspects of the job before moving her full time into the office. This is to give people confidence when they phone up that they can talk to someone with knowledge about the product instead of a glorified answer phone. We have two new guys who will also be shadowing Scott and myself for a couple of years before we let them out there on their own. To learn the skills required (to our standards) takes time. Whilst this is happening there is of course a transition period. So slowly but surely we will be improving our communication as we will have more time to spare. Our apologies to anyone who has been let done slightly but we do endeavour to make everyone happy in the end. We are a very truthful, proud and up front company with nothing to hide. NOW "Popping Kinver canopies into my credit check advises that no credit should be given to them..." We don't have credit on any of our goods. we started with nothing and purchased our first roll of material on my credit card then paid it off straight away. As soon as we could afford to buy stock we did... we owe nothing. We pay as we order. Thus we may not have a super credit score. Our suppliers do offer it but we say no thanks. 1. You can sleep better at night 2. What's yours is yours. 3. If the worst case did every happen. we would be happy in the knowledge that we haven't let anyone suffer due to our lose. ( but I hope that day never comes). Hope that clears it all up. We really look forward to seeing you all at crick as we had great fun last year (Where we'll have balloons, pens, ipad pointers and beer to give away). Ange, we'll call you tomorrow MJG, It's on the house Happy Sunday all.
  11. Right, think I've opened up a can of worms here. I did some filming for an Olympic triathlon qualifier the other month. As long as your're not daft with the drone and have a safe human free flight path to/from area and a clear launch and landing site the powers that be are ok with it ( within reason). It's all just to stop idiots flying to high or filming Big Ben, football games, spying and general safety etc, etc. I don't even fly mine high enough to pester the lovely lady in flat 5c window three on Tuesday's when it's yoga class..... Errrrr I mean to pester pigeons.
  12. Free photos over email I can do.... Free prams, errrr let me have a think about that one Free photos over email I can do.... Free prams, errrr let me have a think about that one
  13. Anyway, photos are free if you want one taking and I can get to your boat Just hope I don't get swamped. Thinking about it put "drone" in the email subject line, that way I can filter them.
  14. Hi guys. After having practiced with smaller ones for some time I've just purchased a new drone. I'm looking for folks that may want their boat photographed from the air so I can practice my shots. I don't wont to fly it without permission and consent of the owners and marinas that you may be moored in. If anyone is interested drop me an email on ian@kinvercanopies.co.uk Cheers. We get around quite a bit so can reach a lot of the canal network to photograph. I'm also looking at getting them printed to canvas, so if you're interested in that i'll also find a price out, the last big photos I had done only cost me about £30. Just think they'd look nice.
  15. hi Sue its 0771seven21867nine Your welcome to some, There is quite a bit so I'd quite like a few folks to have some of it, rather than use it just help you pinch our business ... Talking of which I'm sure you also wanted some of our off cuts. If you can pop down then we can have a rummage around to see what we've got.
  16. Hi guys, It's time to give a little something back. We've now almost completed our move to the much nicer and safer unit. Whilst cleaning out our stuff we have found some industrial sewing cobs black and white mainly ( some full, some half, some less) We no longer use this type of thread and its only sitting around getting dusty. As i know there's a lot of arty folk out there If anyone wants to call us, swing by and grab it from us they are more than welcome. I'll grab a photo of it all tomorrow if i remember. We are now at Unit 11 Gainsborough Trading Estate Stourbridge. land line will also be installed by 30th Nov so its still best to call on the mobile. cheers
  17. Hi, We get on well with Chris from Canvasman (even took him out to lunch when we first started up) and will always mention him to our Northern enquirers. We are fitting two covers this week in Reading (all being well) there is one semi trad and one trad, both with extensions to cover aft deck. if you like we'll grab some photos and send them to either you or Chris. Kind Regards Ian
  18. Hope to be able to offer our own range soon.
  19. To allow access to the gas locker but still have a solid wooden board to give the authentic look. Sorry should of posted this link also so you can see it in cruising mode. http://www.kinvercanopies.co.uk/Closed_cratch_board.html
  20. Hi all. I'm not trying to advertise but want to gauge opinion good or bad. Would we be wasting our time designing and producing these. http://www.kinvercanopies.co.uk/Hydraulic_Cratch_board.html We haven't had one made yet but have been told it is possible by our joiner if we can source the right rams. No idea on a cost as yet... but to be really honest I can't imagine it would be cheap. I leave the floor open to comments and promise I wont bite whatever you say. Kind Regards Ian
  21. If anyone is interested we are currently cover on this project. http://www.kinvercanopies.co.uk/Hydraulic_Cratch_board.html
  22. Hi, Please forgive my ignorance, we are planning a small jolly for a friends birthday, we are taking a lake boat to Tewksbury for some water ski fun but are also planning on a trip down Avon then Severn. Apart from insurance what other paperwork would we need to navigate this stretch of water. Any ideas it's just for a long weekend. And before anyone says it, we are not skiing the river, that will be on a lake nearby.
  23. We did Kate boats from Southam down to blue Lias for a stag do once, think there is only one lock at napton to deal with so won't disrupt the flow of everyday boaters too much and you can taxi from there into rugby for a night out.
