  1. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  2. I have tried to come up with something constructive to add to this conversation, however find it hard to do so...... I am not willing to give 7 hours of my life doing the Q&A about what I am what I do People get real Has anyone thought of cross posting this thread on to a cycling forum? wow for people at 4mph and a quieter life style with all the Tools at Your Hands I'm surprised No its not easy to have a conversation with anyone that's not there, cyclist, noisy walker, and fast boater that rolled you out of bed, and lets be fair I wouldn't be at my best if I thought I was a victim ( Yawn ) of one of the above, however if ya going to just rant well do it to your self's, If You Actually want to make a difference get on perhaps the cycle forums and explain your issues, hell they all put there trousers on the same way as you, you never know they may understand you If you talk to them rather than just well rant
  3. Oh nice tip with the higher locker's will add to my wish list. Good luck
  4. I am a land lover however this may do the job http://canalplan.org.uk/cgi-bin/canal.cgi
  5. hmm, we need to stick our mobiles in top pockets to record these conversations, and then post them
  6. good point, best place to check would probably be mac forums on the hottest day of the year you empty flat
  7. also get hold of some car chargers for the laptops you keep, they run 12V so when charging your not taking 12v from battery's to run through an inverter to change to 240v to go in to the charger and turn in to 12v
  8. as an alternative have you considered a composting toilet?
  9. ref that location have you contacted Gailey and Hatherton marinas to be aware as they are south of this location
  10. Ok as my name says I am new to boating but thought I would share this to elicit comment on what you see Went for a stroll this morning, insomnia is a bitch anyhow between Stourton to Kinver (a beautiful walk) Anyhow got to Dunsley Tunnel, will let you judge from the pictures the appropriateness of this mooring I will make the following observations on this. There was nothing moored in either direction for at least 1/2 mile. It didn't look from debris around that this was a recent (emergency) mooring Other than being in the middle of absolutely anywhere being specifically parked here as opposed to 100 yards in either direction doesn't serve any purpose that I can see, no water point or pub near by.
  11. hang in a nudist boater, best have thick curtains
  12. some interesting ones in there, you need to get out and see some in the flesh
  13. Not on a boat yet however did install a multi fuel stove in last home before the old Land Anchor and I split (ex wife) anyhow rarely used coal as had the good luck to have a tree surgeon move in next door 2 months after I installed the stove, and had a mate with a courier company that would send a few of the boys round with the scrap damaged pallets that used to clutter his yard. (have you any idea how big a pile a Mercedes long wheel base high top can deliver, I do its huge ) When setting the fire would be newspaper tappers, ok showing my age as used to make these with my grand father back in the 60's, simply a sheet of news paper tightly rolled corner to corner and tied in a knot, kind of like a pretzel Bits of pallet wood, yep had chopped to slivers, layer of bigger pallet wood, add match and retire to safe distance. once its off add more wood logs or the square bits of wood the are used in pallets they go really well. have chucked in the odd candle stub if it was being a bit sluggish, old crayons go up as well, (we were child minders and had a constant supply of those) Kitchen roll that's wiped out a prying pan goes up really well. Had a utility room and would drain frying pans and roasting trays in to cardboard egg boxes and store till set, they went up very very well to the pleasure of captain pyro here. on few occasions we used coal I used to add it on top once the pallet wood and or logs were well in, however suspect I will try the kindling on top of coal method once I get a boat.
