I have 3x80 watt panels and run lighting, fridge, TV, radio etc. I have no high current draw devices. Solar is the only way I charge my batteries. I have to be aware of what's on at all times, but wouldn't have it any other way. If I was to do anything I would upgrade my batteries to a larger Amp hour set to give me a greater reserve and thereby lower the cycle percentage, increasing their theoretical life expectancy. Batteries are only good for "X" number of full cycles, so the less they are discharged between recharges, percentage wise in cycles the theoretical life of the battery is at it's greatest. But if I was to upgrade the batteries then I'd want to upgrade the solar panels. So I'll stay where I am for now.

Single old bloke interested to hear from anyone who would like to share Narrow boat hire for up to 10 days after 13th August. I have been unable to find a hotel boat trip suitable to my time frame and haven't been able to find any companies willing to hire out to a single person.

So what happens if you take the Viagra & the breast enlargement, waiting 4 my offer with baited breath.

I'm new to this but I'll be real careful what I say, I just want to learn.

This forum stuff is all new to me, it's another big learning curve.

Hi, Can anyone advise of Hotel-boats operating on the Kennet & Avon Canal between Reading and Bath In August of this year. I'm a solo traveller from Australia, and have been advised that the minimum no of people is 2 for boat hire so I'm restricted to hotel-boat hire rather than narrow-boat hire. I've only been able to find one operator (bywaterhotelboats) and they are booked out for when I want to travel. I'm a bit restricted on the start date, it has to be after the 5th August but not too much after, looking for a trip of around 10 days. Any other trips on other waterways for that time period would also be of great interest. Thanks in advance.
