    I was told when I was at school back in 1976 that there were more trees in Birmingham then in the New Forest. Timber in buildings has got worse because of the way we treat it. For example, we paint it with non breathable paint or we encase it in cement so the wood just goes rotton

    It arrived at Steadfast between the summer of 81 and 84. We were moored at Parman Marine and remember seeing it. We moved to Platts Ait 1984 ish.

    The old navy sub is quite close to you and I am surprised you have not seen it. It was given to Steadfast Sea Cadets in Kingston upon Thames and they converted it back to a cruising narrowboat

    12 v goes into the Heatmiser switch on A1 and then the switch puts the 12v through to the A2 connection. Once the steam laptop powers up I will put the heatmiser manual up

    The mooring is better there now that the dreadfull smell seems to have stopped coming out of the works near the yard. Do you still get the brass band practicing in the farms outbuilding there

    yes i know, but you shouldnt have to go through that process. Surely the estate agents details should have to show it like thay do the EPC. Just heard of a case where a person has got rid their gas boiler and got an air source heat pump. The house now has a worse EPC rating because it uses more electricity

    It could of course go through the front bulkhead and up. Which would not impede anything in narrow locks
