  1. Lifesaver...best regards Neil
  2. Thankyou, I'll be taking the train up this weekend with hylomar and more running in oil this weekend....your a lifesaver ???
  3. Hi Richard, afraid I won't be able to travel tomy family members narrowboat til the weekend and hope to solve the problem when I get there. Basically.. the SR2 was completely reconditioned (Primrose supplied all the parts?) The engine / gearbox is supported on the bearers by the gearbox on one side and by a cradle/brecket that is bolted to the engine on the over.., these horizontal bolts are weeping engine oil, as is (as I have now found out) the bolt that holds the bracket for the throttle cable near the ball joint. Which is also mounted onto an engine bolt. It had been suggested that we use annealed washers, but as Boater Sam has pointed, some kind of thread seal would be more practical, What would you recommend?
  4. Ahhh...Mounting bracket... That's the terminology I should have used...and yes oil is seeping from these and other bolts that afix the teleflex cable in position... Thanks so much for your helpful reply?
  5. When re-installing an SR2 should copper washers be used when mounting the engine on the cradle? If this is the case it may explain an engine oil leak! Thanks in advance
  6. Thank you all for your assistance. Part ordered and in the post. Thanks to CWDF
  7. So sorry Paddles up... I thought I replied to you at mid day! Instead... I replied to Richard TWICE . . DOH! Yes I would be very interested in an external Pin and spring. . if available AND IF I won't be messing Richard about Best regards and thank you for replying

  10. Not sure what model..G1 G2?
  11. That! ..Would be marvelous
  12. Arrg, not sure if it's the software or my incompetence, My apologies Richard,...yes the external one, it has been suggested that I build the 10mm indent up with weld, but my preference would be to source a good one ..and a new spring for good measure.. Thank you for your patience.!
  13. Arrg Finding it really difficult to use my new phone, my apologies Richard....yes the external one, it has been suggested that I build the 10mm indent up with weld, but soursing a new one would be more to my liking, I thought replacing the spring would be a good idea whilst I'm at it.
