When I first started living aboard my alarm went off every night. First I rushed into the cold night air every time it went off normally about 3 AM then as the days grew on I just pulled the battery out once it went off. I tried everything to work out what it was even had a sniffer to check the fire seals. It turned out to be my own stupid fault. I put the ash bucket in the cratch after emptying the ash pan. so the fumes were coming through the door vents. I put the bucket outside and it hasn’t gone off since. Bob B

Hmmmm, Some have the top vent open 1/4 turn some closed. Some riddle, some poke. Yet for me I do all the bad things, I riddle and poke then empty the ash pan then fill her up. only keep the Bottom vent open 1/2 turn and it has never gone out. when it's Ice on the inside of the window weather. I open it 1 1/2 turns and it's still going in the morning. One point it I have two large fire bricks in the inside to restrict the contents. after baking it up the to the top of the fire bricks I get 16 hrs out on 1/2 turn. Mind you I have wood and Supertherm in it and It's so Hot on 1/2 turn Bob B

this reviewing restaurants is getting to me. But what a great job -
I use a HP Probook for broadcasting and recording as it has a Firewire port. Most of the budget ones don’t have this. Even when used in the stuido Recording is only reports 37 watts. I get 3 hrs from the std battery. however, Ripping a Blue ray disk to Mkv format takes 9 hrs and the laptop is running flat out. before I moved on to a NB I use to build PCs. The one under my desk has an over clocked Extreme processor 8Gb of over clocked memory. a Dual GPU overclocked Graphics card, 4 disks in raid 0 and a SSD disk. The dam thing runs at 700w Idle and if I'm playing a game it's runs at 1300W. So this is not running much Mind you Win 7 boots in 20 Sec from the start to a screen of icons. (it also converts the Blue Ray to Mkv in 3 1/2 hrs Woot! BobB

let see, I have a MOTU 828 Mk 2 connected to a yamaha I88X through ADAT. (Fibre). The I88X is connected to a Yamaha 01X 24 track desk with Mlan. This is conencted to two Alesis near field active referance speakers. The radio is connected inputs on the desk along with the Spotify connection from my Iphone in it's dock. So any track any time. There are also hammond and leslie, a luts of other stuido bits of equipment connected to the desk for when I get boord. BobB

I got a Quote for 750Ah at 48V depending on the size (height) it was going to be about 3K, But the question is where to put them on a trad stern. BobB

Ernie Ball Slinky 10 on my strat. I did have 8 on but I kept on breaking them. The Fretless base has flat wound. Never changed them or even carry spares Bob B There again I play a Hammond the boat, vibration or temperature doesn't effect it.

I was editing in my Recording Studio on Saturday, The solar powered all of the power. When I turned of the equipment and Inverter the battery voltage was .2v higher then it was when I started 5 hrs earlier. I haven't used my petrol gen since I got the panels working properly. Does the Gov offer grants to fit Solar? if they do then we should get it too. Bob B
