  1. I there, any luck with finding the extra thermo stat? I tried to PM you but not sure if it worked properly. Not so proficient in navigating this forum.
  2. Your right it is the over temp sensor that I am looking for. Can you post a picture of your boiler?
  3. Hello all, Looking for help on sortig a part for a Kabola E3. Specifically the thermostat. I have been informed that the one I have has been superseeded by a new design. Agent for these boilers does not carry any old stock. The thermostat that I have cuts out just below 60 degrees but it should run to a temp of 80 degrees before it cuts out. The thermostat is inserted into the body of the boiler about 8 inches which is then attached to the reg via a length of wire. Can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier of older Kabola parts? Thanks, Vinnie.
  4. just to update the people who participated on this topic. Indeed it was an issue with an earth wire placed incorrectly on a distribution board. All sorted now and a better understanding of the electrical system onboard has been acquired. Thanks folks.
  5. OK great stuff. I'll let you know how I get on Thanks again all Vinnie.
  6. Thanks for that Alan. This is a very recent issue so I will start my investigation on that note. Vinnie.
  7. Hello there, I was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction with issues involving my 12 volt switch and gauge panel. I have a 12 volt supply through out the system but the control panel is acting very strangely. This began with blowing a fuse while connecting an air horn which was seized. Examples of the issues I am referring to. When the ignition switch is in the on position the temperature gauge reads 90 degrees C while the volt metre reads 0 volts. Illumination lights in the switches do not light and the actual switch for the navigation lights has been bypassed so they are constantly on. I had to remove the fuse in order to turn them off. Can anybody suggest what they might think the cause of this problem could be? I know these things are difficult to pin down when you can't get a look at the system in question. Much appreciated Vinnie.
  8. Ok, did what you recommended and had a chat with Darren at Kuaranda. very helpful dude. Between the jigs and the reels it looks like the temperature sender is activating prematurely. My Kabola E-3 is quite old now and because of this I will have to replace the diesel controller aswell as the overtemp sender and low flame sensor. So there you have it. Until the next time take it easy and Thanks again
  9. thanks for that I will get back to you on this. Needless to say it's driving me mad.
  10. Hello there, slightly different question regarding the reg ulator. Can the overtemp setting be changed on these controllers or are they factory set that can't be adjusted? Mine gets to 60 C then shuts off. Have had air lock problems with heating system and trying to eliminate as much as possible while trying to get heating working properly. Thanks.
  11. Very much appreciated Frank. I'll get going on making contact with the above and I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again

  13. Hello Frank, I placed a picture in the Gallery section under Chenzo's pics. The generator you describe above sounds exactly the same as mine. Any probs with viewing the picture let me know. Vinnie.
  14. Hello all, Looking for some help with trying to find a wiring diagram for a generator gontroller unit. The manufacturer of the genset has gone out of business for some time now. The company name is Geko Marine a German company. Anyway the genset is a Farymann which has a remote controller made by the above company. The unit monitors Temperature/Oil level/220 volt output. There are 3 control buttons Stop/Start/Test and a counter for the time that it runs. I am hoping that somebody will have this in their boat as I cannot see the unit in question on the web. I will add a picture soon. Thanks in advance.
