Most, if not all, will be on US gps, the EU service is still under test.

Residential is a specific use, just a few spaces will be allocated in many marinas. Through casual observation, many residential moorers seem to rent as leisure users. This may not suit those who need residential for reasons such as address and benefits.

EU is down to an Italy time sequencing service failing. I doubt it was interference as our Russian friends depend on satellite coverage from other GPS systems as well as their own service.

So, would be good to share the detail about your stern gland. Ours leaks constantly and is expected. We tighten the bolts to compress the lagging/packing material on occasion but leaking is part of the process to maintain a cooled stern tube. When we finish for the night I always give it a couple of turns. This I have done for ten years without problem. When we leave the boat it gets a little extra grease but to be honest the bilge pump is there to do its job.

We have a charcoal filter in line with vent, no smells there either.

Empty it and fill again during the rinse and empty again then add enough water to cover the smelly base and then add odorless. If that does not work, replace the lot with a steel tank and a macerator unit. We did and no more smells.

I did see a narrowboat where they slid part of the roof back, erected a tent which covered the hole and added a bedroom above the boat. Last I saw it was near tixall wide but that was last season.
