About Me
General interest in narrowboats Spent a lot of time on Union canal carriers camping boats in the 70s. Founder member of the North West Museum of Inland Navigation in late 60s. Helped with the rcovery of Joel after the fire in 1972 at Portland basin. Spent two weeks towing Mary from Leighton Buzzard to Burscough with Rodney Roberts George & Helen Smith aboard Petrel.
