Traditional in sense that it’s got a bath, shower, sink and toilet but I fancied something a bit different.

So it’s taken a while but I’ve almost finished my bathroom, just waiting or the bath surround trim.

A few years go the 'ting ting' campaign was widely promoted - hopefully some folk still remember it. As with so many things, it is the way in which it is used that makes the difference. Riding at speed towards someone, ringing the bell and making no attempt to avoid the pedestrian is clearly intimidating, rude and arrogantly assuming a right that does not exist. Ringing the bell in good time whilst slowing down and then saying thank you shows respect and a recognition that the cyclist does not have a right of way. Incidentally, those of us who use hearing aids, especially in both ears, do have a problem (as I find it anyway) that sounds immediately behind are the hardest to direction locate as well as sometimes being in a 'dead' zone. Cyclists should never assume that their bell is heard by the pedestrian and rely on them moving out of the way as a consequence.

Must have been very big wash to have swept right over the sides and so far up the garden and onto the Patio, saves watering the grass tho ! Every cloud has a silver lining.

Can't we all just join together in our mutual hatred of fishermen?

I find that walking along the towpath with a boat pole and letting it swing about a bit is quite effective at calming the cyclists.

I think it's now banned due to the Orientals taking a fence.

Why should you need to get out of the way, how about the bike stopping and getting off

Depends on how much you wanted them out of the way......
