Does anyone know how to contact the couple who have advertised to volunteer to drive narrow boats from A to B for the sheer enjoyment of it.

Missing dog - Stenson, Trent & Mersey

At 11am yesterday our three year old brindle Staffordshire bull terrier disappeared from just below Stenson Lock. We saw her jump off the narrow boat but no further sighting since then. Mooring madness

Hello everyone   I'm new to this, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place! I need advice. morso squirrel back boiler advice

Hi, we have a morso squirrel and want to fit a back boiler. Has anyone who's fitted one got any advice? I've been given a boiler from a different stov?, which i am convinced will fit, the person fitting it is not comfortable to take the risk. I'm resigned to buying a genuine morso boiler, but would be grateful for any advice or tips.

Back on the water

Saturday 24th may 2014   We that's me sue & my other half Alan, had been looking for ages well months for a new boat, &after spreading a weekend in Windermere looking a sports cruiser yet again decided to drive over to garstang to have a look at a boat we had seen advertised.   Today we seen the boat we wanted to buy a lovely little 30ft blue slightly plump narrowboat as she is 8.6 wide she is technically classed as a wide beam. Stolen Day Hire Boat

Please can anybody help find the location of Margaret Mary Day Hire Boat. She will be hard to spot as she does not have any graphics name on her, she is a brand new boat. Painted black & white. needles on tow path

This is becoming a problem on the tow path in Rotherham needles being left under bridge number 33 Greasborough RD, I have contacted the CRT who have said it will be a priority for them to deal with unfortunately they haven't, the reason for the needles being here is that a needle exchange service is provided at the Greasborough RD walkin centre next to the canal the users collect there needles then walk round the corner to the bridge use them and just discard them for anyone to pick up, canal us

Horse Boating

Today we were horse boating in the traditional way. The historic narrowboat Birdswood and her passengers were pulled along the Cromford canal by the beautiful shire horse Chelsea. We managed two round trips from the Gothic Warehouse to Leawood Pump Station. Pictured here is Chelsea whilst winding the boat which you can just see in the background. 38.5 ft Narrowboat Move

My wife & I are purchasing a 38.5ft narrowboat which I intend to move ourself from Tattenhall marina near Chester to the Fens, at the moment the narrowboat has only been on the canal system so has no anchor as i will be coming down the river Nene could anyone advise what type and size of anchor I will need to purchase.

Scrapage rights

A boat has been unattended for at least 2 years and has drifted off its moorings several times, being re-moored by passers by and in general being a nuisance. It also was taking on water. renting my narrow boat

Looking into renting my narrow boat as a liver-board. Does any one know what I will have to do to legally do this. Insurance and H&S etc. I don't have a clue where to start and from what I can see there is few boats rented. Is there a reason for this I ask myself.
