  1. to be honest i went throuthe full system and no blockages maybe it was the loose jubilee clip that was sucking air in everything seems to be ok so far till the next problem ive replaced all the jubilee clips now with stainless steel ones just got to replace a few old hoses and i should be ok hopeing to go fishing tomorow a few mackrel showing here i use em for bait in winter thanks paul
  2. ok thanks guy i found the problem on the fresh water tank there a big roung tube goes through the tank and on each end theres a rubber sleeve attached is 2 jubilee clips on each end it was one of the jubilee clips looked ok but was slack so relpaced filled and bobs ya uncle no more water going missing thanks guys for help
  3. got my engine running fine pleanty water coming out of exsaust got another problem im filling the fresh water tank and the water keeps disapearing and i aint got any leeks any clues if possible thanks paul
  4. just nipped down to boat to start enging i gave it full throttle and when it started eased it down went to back of boat and there was water ive recantley started with no throtte so i will try tomorow thanks guys for so much help there was plenty of water after ten minutes yesterday it does have a thermostat in 82 ive been told maye thats to high should i chabge for a lower one thanks
  5. hiya thanks i started engine today took a pipe off near pump no water till about ten minutes im wondering if the sea cock is blocked from outside maybe a bag or something like that as i take the top of seacock get good flow of water so im wondering if it is blocked a when it sucks maybe that might be problem
  6. hiya can a seacock block from under neath a boat even thou it still lets water in when top taken off i dont seem to get water coming in straight away was thinking about taking the boat to ground to check still cant find any blockages been at it all day taking about 10 minutes for water to come through exsaust
  7. ok thank you so much for all the advice do u mean the end caps theres a tube with loads holes in each end whats the best way to clean them ive done the t piece that goes to exsaust didant realise that the tubes could cause problem sorry for been a pain thanks
  8. ok thanks for info i now have the engine running but it takes 5 minutes before water comes from exsaust ive been told that the thermostat wont kick in till the engine reaches the right temperature the thermostat is a 82 if this helps thanks
  9. first i would like to thank everyone for there help ive been down at boat all day today got everything running got one problem now the water takes about 5 minutes to come out of back of boat any clues or is this ok was told 1 minute maxiumin before the water should appear from exsaust thanks help would be great
  10. i havent tried that i took the plate of the pump to see if the impella was spining and it was so does it mean that the pump is nackered even thou the impella was spinning yesterday there was very little water comin out of exsaust thanks then there was none do u mean a pipe from the water tank that goes into the exsaust that could be blocked thanks all info is great im just learning thanks i took the pipe of the seacock and water came in and as u say i dont think that theres any water been sucked in so i think thats the problem thanks

  12. hiya help would be great i run a bmc 1.5 diesel engine water cooled and for some reason no water coming out of exsaust it was workin fine ive put a new impella in the raw pump ive took the seacock top of plenty of water coming in ive been through pipes for blockage and found nothing can the impella be put in wrong way anybody can help me please theres nobody in whitby that does bmc engines paultose@hotmail.com

  14. hi guys new to forum i have a bmc 1500 diesel in the 28 foot clinker boat im looking where i can get a water pump pully as the one i got on is chewing the belt as i think its not running straight so i would like to know where i can get one from help would be great thanks vitty in sunny whitby
