Just back from crick. Great place most of the builders were great but somme so sniffy no apointment and you dont get on there boatys. Even after driving 3 hours one way. Then paying 16 quide to get in. But there loss as we were sat having a beer we were chatting to several others who had the same treatment. Gues what between us all there was 260 grands worth of orders. I will not mention there names but I will chuckle and just hope that the chosen few who got on there boatys were all tyre kikers. Welcome to the forum Iam in the same boat looking for a 60ft live aboard. Yep there is quite a few dodgy home builds. Look at the frames of the cupboards and holes for the pipes or cables. There should be a good standard of joinery around the boat If they cant get those bits right what corners have they cut on the hidden bits. Iam off to crick to might see you there. Alan

Stooping as low as pollititions or Bankers Now that takes some doing. A few suggestions of saving a few pence on red deisel or not paying the licence fee for use of the canal and The hitler squad decend. But Mps or bankers openly fidling there expenses, Claiming for porn movies off the tax payer or claiming for a house that they dont live Well thats ok. Its a pitty that the people that i have met on the footpaths are not in charge . Some great soap bow polliticians here. Ps i will be paying my license fee and paying my over inflated fuel prices, But come the revelution and even I will buy the illicite red deisel..

New to barging. Hi Iam Alan just comisioning a 60ft wide beam. She will be a sail away. I ideally need some wher to complete the fit out.Joinery etc. After completion I intend to live aboard. (To any prospective landlords Iam a good man of fine standing and pay my bills in due course... Just me and my dog looking for a winter place mainly to moor. References can be supplied. Off my mum and preist.Local police man And my local asda manager.) Does any one know a nice mooring that is either for sale or for rent around the lancashire end of the leeds liverpool canal net work. Just looking for a nice quiet place to moor up. As a cyclist fisherman dog owner and a soon to be live aboard, Iam amazed that dog owners just let there dogs crap where ever they want. I was up at glasson last week end Great weather. Real freindly atmosphere. Then i witnessed a local just letting her dogs One Irish wolf hound and a collie type run on the beech?mud area, She just watched as the hounds craped all over where others will walk or play. I have a system My dog is a st bernard so when he goes I need a dump truck to move it But i still pick it up and take it home its a pitty more dog owners dont have the same mentality. It takes a dog owner 1 minute to clean it up but a cyclist with no mud gaurds or a child that a different story.
