does anyone know of any website where it tells you how safe or not over night mooring is on individual canals, or any other way of finding out thanks croc

how many leisure batteries do i need. i live aboard and like to watch telly on night, but im always worried about batteries going too low( below 12v on read out.) i also run a fridge 12v one. currently i have 3 leisure batts one is brand new other two not sure how old (was on boat when got it a year or so ago) should i have replaced all three? do i need more than 3 ? watched telly for couple of hours last night got up this morning the readout was on 11.90v, should it be alot more considering how nmuch use theyve had? and had run the engine for at least 3 hours with nothing on except fridge before hand. help me plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

hi all having battery trouble dont know how old they are. charged them up and only got half a hour watching dvd so tested them with meter two were 11.72 volts and one was 10.80 v i was told by boater to disconnect low one cause its draging other s down. by the way alternator charges at 13.90 v had it changed about 3 weeks ago. is that a low charge or is it ok ? if i buy a new battery do i have to replace all three? i priced them up (not cheap) what do i go for ? will cheap ones by a waste of money ? how long should they last (i live aboard) thanks croc

thanks all still not sure about the chimney, ive just bought a inner chimney (a galvanized sheet of steel) but not sure if it should stick over the top of outer chimney (which i havent bought yet)or be level or shorter, i did buy a double skin chimney about 8 months ago its rotten already thats £30 up in smoke (pun intended) at least i can have a go at removing the old tat stains. many thanks again

can anyone tell me how to get that nasty tar from the chimney off the side of my boat. thanks
