  1. It seems as though it’s sold, deposit has been paid, should complete in the next 2 weeks. thank you for asking thank you so much
  2. Lovely boat, you really brought her out of her self. ready for another 100 years of service.
  3. hi there my boat is a Dutch barge for sale on apolloduck Thank you all, I’ve told the gentleman it’s a No., the money was all wrong. He phoned me up again yesterday wanting to come and look at our boat, and chat about how the sale would be done, but thank you all for putting me back on track. ps I have put on the advert now posible p/ex, thinking the figures 30/ 70 % roughly. just to keep us on the water weekends. yet again forum members have done me well col
  4. The photos are off the narrowboat he would like to p/ex for our Dutch barge as per profile pic col hi there my boat is a Dutch barge for sale on apolloduck apoloduck id below
  5. Okay been on Apollo duck for a week or so, had a couple look at it to live on in London, but turns out they really want one of those massive barges, had 6 phone number request, and 1 x px offer on a Cain narrow boat 2025 build they bought the boat brand new for 135,000, but coming of a Widebeam, it’s too small. Offered 20,000 on top of the gentlemen’s boat. being told I can easily sell it for £125,000? advice anyone?
  6. thinking this morning, after seeing so far 4 holiday hire boats going north from the hire company in L/buzzard and opposite a grand union hire boats. People are out there on the water, enjoying them selves. on the other hand, is the water low, and just near stoke brune is hardly any ? And don’t know when the closures start, apparently lasting a few weeks. peeps that have to continually cruise, how do they do this through out the system re water, elsan, etc ? col
  7. Ive tried
  8. MTB. thank you soooo much !!!! everyone have another look at the advert, I’ve added details, link photos of the barge builder detail. HAVE A LOOK, INTERESTING READ. GOOD PHOTOS but also have i gone over the top for photos?? is it too much? still can’t change the price from 135??? Any ideas
  9. Thankyou x
  10. 😂 😂 😂 okay will go through again re spelling mistakes and can not seem to change the price in the box, should get some interest at that price surely?? thinking that people will notice there be 6k offered in discount pricing the boat at £129, 000 or indeed might get the certification done anyway? Although like people says it’s a whole lot of tush anyway. now where’s my dictionary ?
  11. Ah good do that
  12. Thankyou for that, i might delete those then done !
  13. Thank you, thought maybe being upfront might of current certificults ruling, or what ever brokers require nowadays. im thinking now thanks
  14. Thankyou all for all your comments replies and PMs advice given on my selling a boat without a RCD After taking all your advice, speaking and getting quotation for a POST CONSTRUCTION ASSESMENT £4000 https://www.hpivs.com/ce-certification-2/rcr ‘and conflicting needs for this paperwork from a broker, i have for ist time ever decided to take your advice. I really know what I’m doing, but my first go at selling it privately is as below. any constructive criticism is welcomed and will be acted on https://www.apolloduck.co.uk/boat/barges-coastal-barge-for-sale/807897 All the best colin
  15. Thank you to all the advice etc 1) but where I’m up to now is either going to a broker not asking for RCD/RCR paying 2 comisions 4% from home more, they do nothing I could fight in court as it seems this is not really legal and for the other broker their commision as well. 2) go down the RCR route, meaning contacting UK Recreational Craft Regulations 2017 (RCR) Oxfordshire and getting a RCR done my friends had one done before selling to WHILTON MARINA, they were charged 4000 for a 40 ft Widebeam man. Spent day on the boat, left with my friends with a couple of things to fire escape lader, fire port in cockpit and alter some blinds??? she said that was it? Why so much then? wondering what I get quoted, what do they actually do? rip your boat to peices or do somthing like a survey, or a more stringent BSC . has any one had one done?
