  1. From what I remember Price fallows used single sheets of steel instead of panels, unusually. Certainly up to the gunwale, but potentially the whole boat. It was their point of difference.
  2. We've had one on board for 16 years, only really use it for showers. Fitted to 3 rads, the bathroom one always in use. We've had it serviced just once about 3 years ago.....I'm touching all my oak trim now saying it's been golden for us. We generally run it 60-90 minutes a time....I like a really hot shower! We also fitted them in all but 2 of our builds. We were asked to fit hurricanes on the others. We weren't fans. I don't have a remote control but yes they are available. I have no experience of them though to tell you anything useful
  3. We fitted 5 canaline 42s to new builds, they seemed to perform very well, still going fine up to 15 years on that I know of.
  4. Yes, bulk depending on model, but actually....best left on the home mooring for ever!.....or someone else's....😉
  5. Mounted on a pole that drops flat along the roof when cruising.
  6. We had one for a bit, we gave it away! Noisy, only useful in exactly the right conditions. I'd only reconsider if we could mount one permanently on an appropriate mooring (where it was open countryside) but I'd never have one on the boat again. It failed to brake from inside once in quite high winds, all we could do was actually take it down, so walking down the roof towards a spinning turbine to try to drop the pole, in high wind..........*Shudder*
  7. Likewise, many times over for our builds
  8. Whalin upholstery perhaps
  9. I've persuaded myself not to fall in love and take on a third boat, even though it is a tug! She needs work, clearly, but if a survey shows the hull to be sound, it could be a really lovely little project boat for someone, and is priced to sell. History may be forthcoming perhaps. I can utterly picture her done up nicely as she deserves, so I hope she finds a buyer with some knowledge and the eye to a sympathetic restart on her.
  10. From the photos, tug Harry looks to have recessed panels too, which this boat doesn't have.
  11. I don't suppose you can put your hand on anything with a photo from that kind of time?
  12. This is when I miss The Boat Listing being kept up to date. Is there no other equivalent? It was always a handy quick guide.
  13. Ooh I do like a tuggy porty boat! This one is actually very close to me, it'd be interesting if anyone knows anything about it? Anyone owned it in the past or know of it? It's possibly been reregistered at some point, maybe a name change too? As for builder...hmm, not sure... nothing obvious at that length and name from mike Heywood that I can find. I had imagined his would be a little more detailed perhaps, with a bit more stern lift for a tug style?
  14. If you have to return to land, Wales (or Scotland perhaps) has to be the next best option I reckon. This autumns trip reminded me how much I loved living in Wales. So, although we didn't get in September, you may well yet have us visiting you sometime if we may. Enjoy your new world x
