  1. Hi David, An excellent publication for this kind of info is The Boat Data Book, it includes pilot hole sizes for all different materials/ screw sizes. It's available from most chandlers. Regards Mathew Zilina Marine s.r.o.
  2. Hi Yoda, Max angular displacement depends on the PD model you have & max operating speed. For example models P30-140 its 5 degrees at 2500 rpm, 4 degrees at 3500 rpm etc. For models P200+ its down to 2 degrees at 2250 rpm All installation info is available at albatross-marine.com, installations pdf page 5 Regards Mathew Zilina Marine
  3. It's the foredeck.
  4. Hi Simon, thanx for the interest in our boats, am working on the site every day, so should have more info posted soon. The 1st boat (Tru-line 59) should be ready to transport in about 6 weeks, godwilling! Yes, I agree, Aqualine do have a nice range of boats, good quality for the lolly! However, we will not be competing with them in terms of numbers built or style/design, nor most of the other traditional builders. Zilina Marine was set up to offer the current market an alternative product, built in small numbers, to provide some level of exclusivity. Eastern Europe is developing a good reputation for all types of manufacturing, especially SK, Cz Rep., & Poland. I have had no problem finding the necessary skills and technology for boatbuilding here, although its not as "cheap" as some people think it may be! Keep watching the website for more info, or if you are seriously looking for a new boat, come and visit us! You can see the boats being fitted out, and spend a few days in Zilina.... beautiful mountains & lakes, good ski-ing, excellent beer..... Regular flights with www.skyeurope.com london to bratislava...... Regards Mathew
  5. Hi Gary, that was quick! Is that a photoshop programme? Could the same be done with the logo font/design on the site? I have it in pdf or autocad format. Regards Mathew
  6. Hi Malarky, Thanx for the tip re website. Can your web designer do 3D renderings? The Zilina Marine logo looks a bit flat, and would like it to have a 3D steel effect. The only person I've found able to do this is already so busy that it could take weeks....... Regards Mathew
  7. Hi Scotty, Will get some new photos posted soon. There are a few on the website already, zilina marine/boats/grand union.... Am having a spot of bother with the web editor, and at the moment cant upload any new pics or pdfs. Regards Mathew
  8. Hello Yoda, Thanx for the welcome message.. I have been here in SK (lovely country!) for about a year now, and started building the first boats 6 months ago. Presently have 2 complete shells being fitted out, both cruiser stern. The first one has a yacht style superstructure, the second is more traditional. The 1st boat should be complete in about 6 weeks... ....hard work, but I have a good team working on them.... Regards Mathew
  9. Dear Mr B, Thankyou for bringing to attention the Zilina Marine ad in Canal Boat mag. Yes we are indeed based in Slovakia, I know it must seem a strange place to build boats, But I set up business here because of the steel fabrication skills and availability of cost effective laser cutting machines. Also my wife is Slovak and she was happy to come home to have our baby born here. Apologies for the incomplete website, I had a last minute change of web designer/server, and am struggling with Slovak website software. The site is being updated daily, and should soon be complete.......... Regards Mathew Zilina Marine s.r.o.
