Reading the June edition of Towpath Talk, this lovely old boat is going free to the right person. It is moored on the river Soar adjacent to the Otter pub at Kegworth. Its owner is very old and has dementia. The National Historic Ships UK are handling the passing on of the boat to new owners on behalf of the current ones son.
It has been a really nice boat, we pass it regularly but its condition is now poor. It was the pride and joy of its owner - he would sometimes take it out for a trip up the reach to Zouch and back. Anyone who takes it on will need very deep pockets. It has sunk twice in recent years. It would be a real shame to see it broken up.
