  1. Nor me, which is why I asked. Then again, I can be at least as dense as MtB.
  2. Is it possible to view your own BSS certificates on line? If so, how? Thanks.
  3. Not to mention the often quoted link between shoe size and reading ability!
  4. A month or so ago I saw a thread saying that a marina charging a brokerage fee on the sale of a boat had been confirmed to be unlawful. I cannot find it now, can anyone point me to a decided case on the issue? Thanks.
  5. I was in an outer London pub which had a notice "if you can't control your children please speak to a member of staff, they will be happy to nail the child's hand to the table".
  6. To be fair that seems reasonable. If you remain after full charge you must be parking rather than charging.
  7. I would like to know the answer to this as well please.
  8. I first read that as "it's fine to line dance" (which clearly is insane) and was quite confused!

No she cannot, see Mallalieu v Drummond [1983] 2 A.C. 861. Ann tried hard but lost.
  10. I am one of those who would consider your proposal if circumstances were different. We spend about half the year on our 70' boat, would be happy to revisit the states and we have time on our hands (retired). But I don't drive any more and the wife would not consider driving in the USA. Colorado or any rural area is not possible without transport. We know Bristol very well so that is out too.
  11. Much as I wish that were true, it obviously is not. I see it done every day.
  12. I need a recommendation for a bit of hand-held kit that will show my position and speed travelled. I only need this for boat/walking speeds as I no longer have a car. Looking at the web is too confusing for a techno-phobe like me. Price is not a major factor. Thanks.
  13. If Waterways World feels the need to appoint a Trotskyism correspondent (it would have to be part-time and adequately rewarded) I'm available. Otherwise probably Novara will snap me up as their waterways expert.
  14. I found some writing below each switch. "To Invt shore power" under the RCCB. "MCB 16 ring" under the next. "RCD from inverta to MCB 16" under the last.
  15. Afraid I cannot load photos. The RCCB is in a small consumer unit alongside two further switches, these have the following markings:- CHINT CHINT DZ267-32 NL1-63 B16 25A 0.03A 230 volts 230v t<0.1s IEC 60898 IEC 1008-1 4500 3000 (no test switch) (big orange test switch) But, as far as I can recall neither of these have tripped, certainly not on their own. If, per above, the RCCB is obsolete I would like to replace the whole consumer unit.
