Hi, I live in Ilkeston Derbyshire, very close to the Erewash canal, originally from Chatham in Kent. I have been interested in canals and narrowboats since 2006. I don't have my own boat (yet) but I enjoy looking.
I volunteer with the WRG (BiTM) and belong to my local canal societies namely Erewash and Grantham.
I work for the railway and my patch covers the WCML between Rugby and Crewe and the line that runs off that from Colwich to Congleton. I work from the Rugby office which also covers work from Rugby going south through Northampton and the main lines towards Bletchley. Many of these lines parallel the canals too so I get a great opportunity to see lots of canals and boats :-)
