  1. Thank you for all your replys. Good, that settles my mind at rest that it is plumbed in properly. Today we took both rads off and flushed out endless amounts of sludge. Now tonight I have a bathroom radiator heating up, at least the top is down to half way, and my bedroom rad is heating up well too. Yey to heat for the up and coming seasons. Kind regards, Steve.
  2. Hello, This will be my first post here....so Hello people. I have a question which is making my other boat buddies wonder what is going on. I have a Morso stove with back boiler feeding two radiators on a gravity fed system. Now...mine has been plumbed (as it was when I bought it) with the hot water feed pipe running long the top - ie under the gunwales, & nicely insulated as if it was meant...and the return pipe coming back along the floor. One radiator has never worked and probably needs flushing out..the other one worked fine until recently and also needs desludging or what ever... But the question. Everyone else I know says that for a gravity fed system the feed should come from the bottom pipe, rise up though the rads' and return via the top. After a long sit down and some Seasame Street style drawings I realise that, that setup makes perfect sence. Should my engineer friend start to swap around my plumbing, or is this a known alternative installation? I will be heading to the highlands for 3 days tomorrow but I'll check back late weeks for any gems of geniusness.... Anyway....looks like a good forum... kind regards folks, Steve.
