  1. Grants lock cottage for sale, again. https://auctions.savills.co.uk/auctions/8--9-may-2024-149/grants-lock-twyford-banbury-ox17-3jw-9835
  2. Interesting? Any pics of your inclined intstalls?
  3. This is the sort of screw you need. Available in different lengths. https://www.toolstation.com/techfast-heavy-duty-self-drilling-torx-roof-screw/p96795?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=_dc&pcrid=&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInsP71sL7gAMVTeBRCh0c5AjnEAQYGSABEgJ37PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  4. This is excellent stove paint. Satin black for a beautiful professional finish.
  5. Great stuff. When will you be posting the video?
  6. The video featuring Parry was not produced today. It was made in spring 2023. Today was a gloriously sunny day in London with reasonably high temperatures. Look at the people in the background wearing warm clothing and the spring leaves on the trees.
  7. I use Screwfix yacht varnish. Two coats, first coat thinned with white spirits, about 70% varnish and 30% white spirits, and the second coat neat varnish. This is applied to the backs and edges of all ply wood floor boards and plywood cabin sides.
  8. This part is clearly shown in the engine manual. It is described as ‘Cylinder head washer for tubular stud’. The part number is 27-795. Have a look at pages 72 for the diagram, and page 73 for the description and part number. My manual is a different version to the one you are viewing. I believe Stationary Engine Parts, Sleeman and Hawken, Marine Power Services or Tony Redshaws should have the part. Alternatively, Dobsons Gaskets can help, but they’ll need a sample/template. It takes a dedicated person to find this stuff, but of course, once you’ve stripped and rebuilt one of these fine pieces of engineering, you know what to look for.
  9. This part is clearly shown in the engine manual - page 64 of mine where it shows the cylinder heads and covers. It is described as ‘Cylinder head washer for tubular stud’. The part number is 27-795.

    Brasso

I use Shiny Sinks, then Brasso to remove the tarnish leaving a gleaming result; effective and efficient!
  12. My Surecal 55 litre calorifier has one. See drain cock at lowest point in in the pic.

  14. Thanks. That should have been made clearer in the update.
