Times change & it may be time to change with them & take to the water, not (necessarily) as a cheaper option but a different one.
An engineer / designer is my 'main line' but I have worked in other fields (including spud fields).
Although a house holder / full time wage slave I live most of the time in a 10 ton Bedford TK truck with horse box body. It has all home comforts, rocks when the wind blows or another truck goes by quickly, & you need to keep your eye on the water, fuel & battery state so I guess the change from truck to narrow boat will be from living in a box to living in a corridor but that's just a guess & the Devil is in the detail hence my reason for joining this site.
