Super Starcoaster, so much easier when you know what you're searching for. I imagined there'd be more of a need for them then just narrowboats. Thanks.
  2. Saw this while out boating in the summer and snapped a photo as I thought it was clever. Any ideas where I can find something similar, or is it more likely a DIY adjustment job? Hoping for the former as it's Christmas-present time
  3. I've found a picture that gives a bit of location context. Grandma's not so keen on this newfangled Internet thing, so I've taken her face off. She's leaning against the hinged lid of the gas locker.
  4. Doesn't sound quite like it, because the map isn't as nice, but could it be http://www.canalplan.org.uk/?
  5. Whilst looking at building a mains polarity indicator like in Gary's earlier thread, I thought about earth bonding. I assume that this is necessary as we currently have shore power on the boat, and may add an inverter later. But, is it necessary to run an earth wire from the mains distribution box to the pipes and taps and stuff, or could we just bond to the hull, as the mains earth is already attached there? What size wire would be sufficient for earth bonding? I assume it'll have to be multi-stranded rather than start that argument again Cheers Mat
  6. That looks very neat. We've used a Wickes Garage Consumer Unit with just two circuits. These will probably end up just being one for sockets and the other for the immersion. I'm interested in your circuit for the polarity reversal indicator. Mat
