Hello all,
I just created a website I hope will be useful to the boating community. It's a search engine for boaters, powered by Google's Co-op service.
Normally when you search Google you have to wade through a lot of irrelevant results, many of them for non-boating websites; but with Boatr you only search UK-based inland waterways websites so you get fewer and better results.
At the moment it searches 65 boating websites; by next week that should be 200; and I anticipate the final number will be 300 plus. In a spirit of openness I'm listing the websites searched by Boatr and encouraging users to suggest sites to include.
So please visit www.boatr.org.uk and try it out. Your comments will be very useful, but please bear in mind that this site is still in its testing stage and it's far from finished yet.
