I have a pair of really thick jump leads but I melted the plastic insulation. The plastic formed the connection between the spring and the jaws of the clips. Bit crap really. I've checked on eBay and there's nothing there. Anyone know where I can get some please.

Are you sure your leads are as good as you think they are and its not just a lot of insulation round small leads?

They were rated at 900 amps so they are as thick as my little finger.

Was that the copper core or the total cable diameter? Lots of lead manufacturer put very thick insulation so they look very meaty. Some are not even copper

Have you looked through Vehicle Wiring Products' website for ideas too?

Agreed - use the BC300 cable clamps or those with braid mentioned above and (do you need cable or just clamps) the heaviest welding cable (very flexible) you can find/afford. VWS's 608 cable seems expensive tho'. Should then last a lifetime (don't loan them out!)

Like what I did ONCE didn't get a chance to lend them out twice.
