While we were in the area over the weekend on a camping trip in our VW split van, we decided to visit Foxton Locks - really busy but a great day out, saw a few boats coming down with the help of lots of volunteers (CRT and millions of kids on the lock gates!) Well worth a visit biggrin.png

foxton is magical, I worked there for 2 seasons and absolutely love the place. if only I hadn't let my ***** win over my mind and hadn't gone chasing a skirt that wasn't worth it I might have stayed longer there is a certain lady there that I always held a candle for but she wasn't as keen oh well wasn't meant to be!! would still be a friend and would help her if needed no matter what without question! Tony and Mary were great bosses

always found it even more magical in the snow and ice before the season started even moored my boat there for a year or so.

We came through the locks yesterday and a poor old chap fell into the lock at the top, he was trying to get passed people who were queuing for ice cream and fell in, we gave him a lift to the next bridge by the car park, poor chap I did feel very sorry for him, I do hope he is ok and I thank god that the lock was full when he fell in!
