series3 Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Been lurking a while. My house will be up for sale in a month or two, then we (my wife and I) will be joining you on the cut. I will have questions, not many as most have been asked before and as I said, I have been lurking. So....hello.
Alanji Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Welcome, It is a great way of life as you are obviously aware
Bottletop Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Good Luck, keep us informed of your progress, we, at the moment, are looking to 'dip our toes in the water' by the share boat syndicate route .... John
canals are us? Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 (edited) Welcome I have become a boat owner and livaboard since late last November. It's been great. Nice community and looking forward to crusing and exploring as Marina based. Nearly finished putting my stamp on the boat interior. Installed a reclaimed parquet floor in the salon, built a step and clad top in parquet, sanded it all and oiled it in saicos tropical combo. Repainted the woodwork and just got to modify and install some reclaimed stained glass windows to the front doors and side panels and install a mains battery charger. Then later in the summer some exterior touch up of the paintwork. James Edited May 5, 2013 by canals are us?

bizzard Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 was 88 now a 110, 4ltr auto with carbs,,,starts n runs on lpg, no petrol....glad you noticed pup is loads bigger now (do you think he looks like hitler?) thanks for your warm welcoms, I will be updating. Hello and welcome. I had 3 Land Rovers over the years mainly for my garage use and towing business. A Series 1 80'' a series 2A and a 2B 88'' all petrol.
eightpot Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Started with a Range Rover 3.5 on lpg, then a 3.9 Rangie. All I'm left with now is my 2a 109 2.25petrol - once I pull my finger out and weld up the chassis to get it through the MOT.
junior Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 88 or 109? That had confused me. I had assumed a series 3 was a BMW!
series3 Posted May 16, 2013 Author Report Posted May 16, 2013 halfords seem to think that as well,,, I have a small clasic car restoration and welding shop so no worries with the chassis shame your so far away eightpot also have a 2,5 eng that would fit right in yours....more power n less fuel,
