Spur of the moment decision at 10 am today we decided we would take Islonian out for a short cruise. Mainly to see if there was anything that required sorting mechanically before we set off at the end of the month. So just an hour or so out, wind at the best place for a 60 footer, moor up for a couple of hours and make our way back. There' s something very satisfying about going out knowing its your own boat. Heres a few pics:-

Snowdrops! And we didn't have to pay to go and see them!

You never waved when you passed me!!!

Must be the tinted windows John! Looked for you but didn't see you. On the other hand Stan was waving for England!

Perhaps they prefer to ignore "continuous moorers"?

Funny you should say that I am actually moored on a 7 day visitor mooring that was a 48 hour mooring, the people in the houses opposite are lobbying CRT to have it changed to a 48 hour mooring as it was 4 years ago. It was changed to a 7 day mooring to cope with the boats having to wait to go on The Ribble Link and yes unusual for me to be on Visitor Moorings but unfortunately Stan is still not well. I think Thursday night set him back again!!!

Oh that's so exciting :) There's nothing like it is there?

I was out on the water at 8am today - unusual for me - and it makes me think I must get out more!

Congrats TG. Something you will never be able to do again! I lost my boating virginity on a freezing cold Boxing Day and loved every minute. Now counting down to moving onboard and getting past Beeston Lock.
