fractional share 2 fixed berths

Do you mean 2 fixed doubles?

I doubt you find a shared ownerships boat with that layout; more likely to find 1 double and 2 singles.

Its an unusual restriction to impose, but you might be lucky and find it. It will, however, very much limit your choices. There's plenty of shared ownership shares for sale, most boats tend to be 4 or 6 berth with 1 fixed double and the others converted though.

Unless you are sure that there is always going to be 4 of you I wouldn't. If you have a double bed empty taking up space on your ,2 week holiday you might as well bought a smaller boat.

Most boats have 1 fixed double and sofas chairs that convert to doubles or singles for sleeping, still giving usefull space during the day.

yes, it is unusual and we know we probably will not find that with the larger shared ownership management groups...just throwing it out there in case there is a private group with such a configuration. Thank you for all the input!

Maximus, which is owned by a private group, has a fixed double aft, and a midships cabin with either two singles or a double (one of the singles is fixed, the other can be on its own or moved to make the double). Built by JD Boats, and of similar design I believe to some of the other JD Boats craft which are still managed by them I think.

 

There may be a 1/24th share (one fixed week, one winter week) available in the New Year, PM me your contact details if you might be interested. I'm the secretary for the group, and it's not our share, which we've had since 2001.
