Keeping Up Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 Looks very good to me - although I can't see the ATM you mentioned so I can't read people's PIN numbers.
Canarrowboat TBD Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 Hi Kevin, It's a good quality picture. I would be interested to know the technology behind it. For example: Is it over a WiFi link or 3G/Dongle internet connection ? Is it 240 V (or Shoreline) dependant, or running off the batteries ? How much was the web camera ? Obviously, interested in the validity of a remote viewing security solution - it would be nice to 'check-in' on the boat over the Internet when not on board ! :-) Many Thanks Kind Regards Mark

Laptop to 3g router on a cat5 cable, then use 3 mobile internet to upload. All fo this will run on 12v if you wanted but this is dependent opn your laptop. I run it on 240v but this could be easilly remotly switched usoing GSM controls. The webcam was about £30 as I recall. My mate Paul has a much more 'ON' stream from his truck http://www.truckcam.tv/ using the same sort of equipment. see in Ely, webcam live at : Webcam Ely WRONG Ely. Suspicious 1st post IMO.
