Moonshines maiden voyage and name change

Myself and my very good friend Jane using our very novice ability with me having a 3 days helmsman course under my belt set off last Sunday afternoon from Norbury Wharf to get home to the Caldon canal. I would like to say what a wonderful trip we both had negotiating all the weird and wonderful locks, bridges and bends to get the boat safely home. We would also like to thank the community for all the help and support we got along the way from Knot lessons, lock labourers, bridge lifters and the wonderful staff who just happened to be on Stoke Top Lock when the Staffie Bull Terrier decided to jump in, thank god we had just emptied the lock as we feared the end could have been far from happy. We also saw a man having CPR on the tow path near Weston on Trent. We hope the guy made it. Just near Milton we have renamed a bridge to lob a Cob Bridge due to the sandwich that was thrown at us from the delightful guys driving over it. In celebration of the number of canals it took us to get the old girl home we are renaming the boat to 4 canals very apt name we feel!

Yeah LOB A COB would work for me, the Norty thing has rather been done to death over the years (no offence intended Phylis) but a name which actually means something personal is always good.
