Just booked 'The Dog House' in to be blacked and for new anodes if needed into Supreme Marine who have recently set up in Hargreaves old place at Castleford.

Got chatting to them about future plans - importantly they are hoping within a month or so to be selling Diesel - hurrah! - very much needed round these parts - I hope it comes to fruition.

Also plans for an Elsan, Water and pump out.

Thats good news. There is a cronic shortage of diesel selling outlets up that way.

Fortunately we didnt need any on our recent visit

Very useful. When we moored at Fairies Hill, the only place for miles around was Stanley Ferry and even then it was hit and miss.

Worth knowing they have pump out for when we have guests on 3 weekers around the ring.

I really hope they do well there.

Just to clarify Richard none of this is in place just yet.

It sounds as though the diesel will be the soonest in place though. Though of course there is still a PO at Castleford (A BW one) though each time we pass it another piece of the doors to it seems to go missing, I'm not sure it actually works....

As we came past it looked as though they were extending their small basin and constructing a slipway.

The basin leads to a dry dock - it was temporarily damned while they had new gates fitted to the dry dock. They are now fit and the basin re-filled, there is a small NB in there now being blacked which is what prompted me to call in to get a price for getting our boat blacked.

They were recommended to me by another forum member who we met whilst we have been out, they'd had work done by them when they were at Wakefiield.
