Could anybody recommend recommend a good tank gauge system that will work for water, diesel and a holding tank - ideally where you can have one display which can work with the 3 tanks. The water tank sender would need to go in through the side as I can't get to the top of the tank.

I have seen one in the Aquafax book, but it relies on a float revolving up a spiral wire to turn the dial, and I would prefer an electric system with as few moving parts as possible. Thanks for any info.

Cheers,

Jon

Hello Jon

Sterling do a gauge that can be fitted to each tank to which can be added a remote display that can monitor up to eight tanks. It works by measuring electronically the air pressure needed to empty a tube mounted inside the tank, that pressure varying with the depth of liquid in the tank

then tab on to Products followed by Pneumatic tank gauge.

I can never remember what they are called, but there is a company called MSD or MCD or similar that does tank guages. The water one I have, and it is very simple, with a small sender fitted in the pipe from the tank. It determines depth by pressure, so you do not need to do anything to the tank.

They do similar for diesle and holding tanks.

Someone will remember the right name!
