Could be those too. The Lapworth banter managed an ostrich egg after all

I'll have to come through Hack Green before 8 November due to the stoppage, is that too early for the banter to start...

Should we bring the forum ostrich egg pan?

Hmmm! Am thinking about breakfast and come to no conclusions although I've had Creamcheese's Dad inching towards a request for some of Beaman's finest Bridgnorth Bacon today so please can you bring the mega frying pan please Richard
I think it's going to come in handy!
Anyway, went off for wander to Audlem today and came to the conclusion that if we are more than about 20 we will be struggling in the Shroppie Fly so investigated the Lord Combermere where I ran into Creamcheese's Dad as above. The Lord Combermere (TLC) is in the town square about 600 metres or so from the cut and I think it will be better suited to a crowd of us wan dering around a bit clutching beer. And the lunch was much nicer than the Shroppie and larger too.
So any thoughts? I am wondering about food too - shall I see how much it will cost to have a buffet supper f'rinstance? Generally the food cost is between £7.00 to £15.00 for mains in the evening - most tending towards a tenner. Or shall I organise a Banter Survivors' lunch and we sort out our own scran in the evening?
ETA that'll be a Survivors' Sunday lunch as you won't be a Survivor until then!
Sorry, didn't see this until now - I was expecting early arrivers to have tea and scones with me on Cobbett who will be open for visitors from Friday evening onwards in any case ...

...
It's more the blasting wind - I shall be single-handing so help would be nice at some point!
It's looking promising ....

Does that mean he demanded you brought some bacon?
And I'll grass on ya and say that according to my pops, your calling into the Lord Combermere lasted a couple of hours
The couple that run the pub are lovely, and I'm sure they'd sort something out food-wise. I've only had food there once, but it was fantastic right dow to the homemade horseradish sauce.
We'll definitely be there for your 21st Jill

Hi Wiggly, We'll take you up on your offer of floor space, but would prefer if we were bunked up together rather than with any of those other nice people

Pan at the ready, let me know if there is anything else you want.

Can you cope with a couple of vegetarians ?We'll have a count up for breakfast closer to the event but I've recruited Bazz for Lincolnshires, I'll do the bacon so maybe eggs or black pudding?

Well my route planner says it's about a 300 mile round trip......
So probably a bit far for the boat in late November, when one of us has a full time job.
But yes, we'll have to settle for driving, and aim to be there.

Me too. It's nice to drink a pint by the canal..Stopped by on my way back from Lapworth. Preferred the Shroppie. You could bung the pool table in the car park to make room... :-)
