That should have had a "NOT SUITABLE FOR DESPISERS OF WISHY WASHY PAP-POP ATROCIOUSNESS" warning, alongside it.

I bet Vicky Butler-Henderson likes it

That is truly most excellent.

Searching for "Name" in Youtube turns up some quite delightful things

Dads just brought the new chilled R\N\B 210 album.
There are quite a few good tracks on it ….or losing my mind being stuck on a boat for 2 weeks and no sign of a reprieve

You should be so lucky: I was on our boat for 2 weeks, this week I'm back at work and I would very much have liked a reprieve!

Well....5 weeks on our boat and we've all been listening to...erm...Hinge & Bracket....The kids, oddly, have loved it!

So not only do they know most of the words to most of the Mikado, they've been quoting from 'Dear Ladies' verbatum!

How's Peggy?

Dr Busker, the last Victorian Music Hall entertainer.

I snagged some videos last night at a beer festival with my new camera and having been editing the files.

Great fun if a bit bawdy.

Lucky I went last night as today's gig (at a steam rally) is rained off !

Larkin's Jazz

4 CDs of good pre-Bebop jazz for a tenner, well presented with a nice little booklet including some of (poet) Philip Larkin's comments. He used to write a Jazz column for the Torygraph apparently. All really good stuff, unlike some compilations, highly recommended if you like that sort of music.

Today i have been mostly listening to Put It Politely by nineninetynines which is to be released Monday 6th September.

Can be purchased via...Spotify,Amazon and itunes. Only 69p per track. the other track is Dirty Little Secret.

My son is the base player.

Yes it's a plug. They have been together for over two years and have financed this CD release themselves. I wish them good luck and hopefully someone 'in the know' will spot them and take them along.

I really want them to become rich and famous and give me lots of money.

Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
