Can't answer first question, but, in our experience, diesel costs can vary enormously in the same area!As a newish boater, can anyone give me the price of diesel at the moment around the Shardlow area?
Does it vary a lot in different areas?
Many thanks
Definitely worth shopping around.
Fuel boats are often, (but not always), at the lowest end on costs, but often hard to find. Again I don't know about Shardlow, and if any fuel boats regularly trade there.
Unless you want to declare 60% propulsion, 40% other, make sure before you start to fill up anywhere that they are prepared to accept your intended declared split. Not all are.

JD Boat services (Dobsons Yard) are usually OK, but don't know current price.
Currently 68p per litre at JD Narrowboats (Dobsons Yard), They will let you declare your % split even if it is 100% !

I'm sure there was a Diesal boat doing Beeston cut to Fradley, will let you self declare your own split.
Yes, It's Stokey. Haven't seen the boat for a while. Last time I saw Neil (new owner) he was in a 4x4 pickup delivering coal.
