Getting excited. Making a cake for the ships cat and getting beer ready for captain Bligh. The 2011 sloe gin will suffice for me. My foot is on the mend but I won't be leaping around.(a slapped wrist for the unkind person who just muttered 'when did you ever') See you all around the system and for beer on Sunday.

In Birmingham now, I brought the boat in this morning and got thoroughly cold and wet, so a nice start, felt just like last year.

Good luck to everyone taking part. Make sure at least one crew member has a camera poised to capture any falling in incident (and lets hope the person with the camera is not the one who falls in!)

 

Stay safe everyone and have loads of fun and make sure you keep all of us who can't join in updated with every minute details at intervals of every 5 minutes

If you are coming up the North Stratford and are thinking of getting water at Kingswood, the water point just above the basin was broken (you could not get it open)

Currently at fazeley junction doing some serious rout planning! Getting excited now - just got 2 more crew to pick up tomorrow when we get the start point. Can't wait til Saturday morning and looking forward to a well earned pint or 2 at the end!

Can you lend me some? I was going to pop into Sherborne today to get tanked up but it will be like pinball in there in this "breeze". I think a stop off at nice Mr Caggy's may be in order (as prescribed by my loverly neighbours)
