Would it be possible to let your house instead of selling it?

I would seriously consider that option. Living on a boat as you main home must be great, but it is a depreciating asset. If you can raise the finance on your house and let it to become a live aboard that has to be the best way to go.

 

As for working and living aboard, that wold depend on ow much you are prepared to commute and the logistics of that.
