I think if CaRT priced them sensibly plenty of people would take them but I think at these prices people will just move every 14 days. Better selling 500 winter moorings at say £50 - £75 per month than non at £125 - £425 per month

£18/metre in London. So my boat would cost £324 per month. As opposed to the £270 I'm paying in a marina for residential with full facilities and just 25 mins from Liverpool St by train. Seems a little steep.

For around 200 pounds a month (and probably a lot less in some places) for a 57 foot boat you can have a modern marina berth with all facilities up here in the north. Shhhh..don't tell everyone though.

Winter Moorings avaialable at Saltisford Canal Centre, Warwick, both residential and non residential, run by a small canal charity.

 

Winter Moorers pay a fee for the 17 weeks based on boat length,

 

Period from 1 November through to 28 February £9.88 per foot, ex vat, £11.86 inclusive of VAT ( Additional weeks charged proportionately).
