larkshall Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Was just reading (well flicking through) the Free Tillergraph mag (Towpath supplement), when I read the following colour advert "Missing PINDER 70ft Narrowboat British Waterways registration number 513559. This craft has a dark blue hull and superstructure. The stern has red and white stripes. This craft is powered by a BARRUS 45hp diesel engine. This vessel was discovered missing from moorings at Polesworth near Tamworth Staffs on the 15th of Feb 2012. Warwickshire Police crime reference N/12/2534. If you have any relevant information please contact C Claoms on 0208 502 6644 or email cclaimsuk@aol.com" I haven't heard this one mentioned in the forum anywhere, was curious if anyone els had seen the ad
twbm Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 (edited) Being a naturally nosy git, I'm intrigued by the use of an AOL email address for what appears to be a pukka company. In fact if you look at their website neither the email or phone number match. http://www.cclaims.co.uk/ Edited to add: And the boat isn't on their list of missing boats either.
