grahoom Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 So Ever on my quest to abide by the regulations of BW, i contacted them regarding residential moorings in the Oxford area, i got the reply as follows. ---------------- We have two sites of residential moorings within the Oxford area ~ one at Hythe Bridge (which is where the Oxford canal ends) and an area called Agenda 21 ~ which is collection of five separate sites within a 3 ½ mile distance from Oxford – northwards ~ We do not keep waiting lists for these sites, because the moorings are transferable with the sale of a boat – therefore you would need to make enquiries in the local area to ascertain whether of the boats is currently sale ~ I hope the above is of help, but if you require any further information please don’t hesitate to get in touch ~ ---------------- so if this is the case, how come two residential moorings recently were auctioned (I think both were Agenda 21 moorings...)

It happens rarely, and that was something to do with some elements of history where they couldn't decide how to allocate the moorings - or something, and I am probably wrong. Oxford moorings make gold dust look common
grahoom Posted August 14, 2007 Author Report Posted August 14, 2007 It is only in exceptional circumstances that any of the Agenda 21 moorings become available ~ and we did recently have two which have since been tendered out ~ Bones, you're correct - here is the response. well i'll be up in oxford bank holiday weekend, so will do some enquiries! see what the word on the water is!
